Courtney Locke begins her second season as an assistant coach at UTSA after playing for Rutgers from 2002-06. She appeared in 123 games, while making 26 starts for the Scarlet Knights. Some of Locke’s duties as a coach include setting up community services events, handling summer camps, recruiting and corresponding with Texas AAU coaches and San Antonio high schools coaches.

The San Marcos, Texas, native was a member of Rutgers’ 2005 Elite Eight and 2006 Sweet 16 teams. During the 2005-06 season, the Scarlet Knights were the Big East Conference Regular Season Champions and they advanced to the NCAA Tournament all four of her seasons.

Locke earned her bachelor’s degree in exercise science & sports studies from Rutgers in May 2006.
