SAN ANTONIO -- Coming off a 32-win season in 2018, UTSA baseball will host the first of two fall scrimmages, welcoming Lamar at 12 p.m. CT on Saturday at Roadrunner Field.

UTSA hosts Lamar at Roadrunner Field in the first of two fall scrimmages during the practice season. The game is slated for 14 innings. The Roadrunners will welcome McLennan Community College on Nov. 3 at 1 p.m.

Coming off a 32-24 season in 2018, the Roadrunners return a bevy of talent for 2019, including veteran position starters in Bryan Arias, Joshua Lamb, Dylan Rock and Ryan Stacy. Karan Patel returns in the weekend rotation, with relief veterans Bradley Griggs, Palmer Wenzel and Kyrell Miller helping anchor the bullpen.

UTSA is led by seventh-year head coach Jason Marshall, who has been with the Roadunners for 19 years. He is joined on the staff by one of the top assistant coaching minds in Texas, Jim Blair, UTSA's pitching coach, and former big-league outfielder and Texas Tech great Roger Kieschnick. Rice great Connor Tykel rounds out the staff in 2019.
