Head UTSA Women's Basketball Coach Karen Aston named Christian Hyde the program's graduate assistant ahead of the 2024-25 season.
Hyde heads across town from nearby UIW, where he was a student coaching assistant from 2021-2024 with the Cardinals women's basketball team and a sports operation assistant with the university intramural department. With highlights including a 2021-22 Southland Conference title, Hyde handled a wealth of responsibilities, including film reports, scouting opponents, and creating individualized workouts for student-athletes. A regular on the dean's list at UIW, Hyde graduated in May of 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in computer information systems with a concentration in networking and a minor in cyber security systems. At UTSA, he will pursue a master's degree in information technology, specializing in cyber defense.
