TULSA, Okla. – This weekend, UTSA Volleyball returns to action, visiting Tulsa on Friday to open its third week of American Conference action. Two days later, the Roadrunners will host South Florida at 1 p.m. from the Convocation Center, ending a three-match road trip. Head coach Carol Price-Torok’s bunch squares off with two of the league’s top three teams from August’s preseason poll as UTSA looks to end the week at .500 in conference play.

THE WEEK THAT WAS
Over the weekend, UTSA took its first road trip of the American slate, visiting Charlotte on Friday before trekking to East Carolina on Sunday. The Navy & Orange took down the 49ers in four sets, earning their first conference win of 2026 behind a 16-kill, eight-dig showing from Isabella Arroyave and nine total team blocks. ECU swept UTSA on Sunday, hitting .420 and handing the ‘Runners their first straight-set defeat of the season.
ABOUT THE GOLDEN HURRICANE
Tulsa is under the direction of fourth-year head coach Lauren Ramatowski, who boasts a 73-36 record in her time with the program. The Golden Hurricane are out to a 12-3 start this year, entering the weekend as one of three programs still unbeaten in American play at 4-0.
Last year, UTSA and Tulsa met twice in the regular season, with the Golden Hurricane prevailing in five sets from San Antonio and sweeping the 'Runners in Tulsa. Ally Tribe led the way with a 21-dig, 11-kill double-double in the first matchup while Gigi Mason and Caroline Tredwell combined for 29 efficient kills and five blocks.
ABOUT THE BULLS
South Florida is under the direction of seventh-year head coach Jolene Shepardson, who holds an 85-97 record in her time with the program. The Bulls are 4-10 on the year but 3-1 against American foes, most recently sweeping the Owls of both Rice and Temple over the weekend.
USF hosted UTSA for the two sides' only meeting in 2025 as the Bulls prevailed in four sets, cruising in the opening frame before three consecutive two-point sets. Gigi Mason paced both sides with 23 kills on a .462 hitting percentage while Megan Hawkins posted 29 assists alongside Giada Obregon's 14 digs.

After their matchup with USF, the ‘Runners will stay home for a 5 p.m. Wednesday matchup with North Texas on Oct. 14. Two days later, UTSA is slated to hit the road, visiting Wichita State at 6 p.m. from Charles Koch Arena.
