UTSA to Host Fundraiser During Exhibition Against Islanders

SAN ANTONIO – The 44th campaign in the history of UTSA Volleyball begins next month. Before opening their regular season in Fayetteville, Ark., the Roadrunners will play a pair of exhibition matches in the Lone Star State. First, the Navy & Orange will host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Saturday, August 15th.

The fifth season of the Carol Price-Torok era will commence at 2 p.m. from the Convocation Center against the Islanders. 100% of all fundraiser proceeds will directly benefit UTSA Volleyball and enhance its student-athlete experience. To sign up for either experience, visit the Roadrunners Athletic Fund website (RAF). Any further questions can be directed to graduate assistant Alec Perez at alec.perez@my.utsa.edu.

“In the rapidly-changing landscape of collegiate athletics, we’re looking at unique ways to not only stay competitive on the NIL front, but create special opportunities for the team,” head coach Carol Price-Torok said. “This fundraiser gives our fans a great opportunity to directly support our student-athletes. We’re excited to meet and give back to our community as we start the season and ultimately face another team across the net for the first time.”

The Match Experience package will include entry at 12:30 p.m. for a meet-and-greet before the contest. One meal and courtside access will also be included in the bundle at a total cost of $35 per person.

An exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of UTSA’s nearly-completed practice facility will also be available as part of the VIP Experience. Access to serve and pass, match entry at 12:30 p.m., two courtside seats and two lunches will be provided in addition to the tour for $1,000 total. Only 15 such packages will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

A week later, the ‘Runners will head north for a preseason clash at Baylor. The exhibition with the Bears will serve as the squad’s final tune-up before opening 2026 play, taking place on the floor of Ferrell Center in Waco, Texas.

2026 season tickets are on sale now, and can be purchased here. General Admission season tickets are on sale for $65 (plus fees). Additionally, seats in section 102 can be purchased for $90 (plus fees). Single-game tickets, which became available on June 23, can be found here.
