Four Roadrunners Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – On Tuesday, College Sports Communicators (CSC) released its 2026 Academic All-District Baseball teams. UTSA landed four student-athletes on the list, with Drew Detlefsen, Diego Diaz, Andrew Stucky and Caden Miller each earning recognition.

The announcement recognized the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions - NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Each standout excelled on and off the field, boasting a cumulative GPA of 3.50 while playing in at least 75% of spring contests this season.

Detlefsen, the 2026 American Conference Player of the Year, posted a 3.76 GPA while pursuing a degree in multidisciplinary studies. Miller, a First-Team All-Conference selection, recorded a 3.84 GPA under the same major. Stucky, the league’s first-team catcher, notched a 3.53 mark in the classroom with a bachelor’s degree in psychology while working towards a graduate certificate in facilities management. Diaz rounded out the list with a 3.74 GPA while studying finance.

The quartet each picked up their first career CSC Academic All-District Team selections. In 2024, James Taussig and Zach Royse were the two Roadrunners to crack the list, representing UTSA during its first season in the American Conference.

Across UTSA’s 58-game campaign, the group combined for 220 appearances, making 209 starts while amassing 275 hits and 208 RBIs. The Navy & Orange capped off the year with a 38-20 record, securing a second consecutive American Conference regular-season championship at 17-10 in league play.
