SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's basketball team is set to conclude the American Conference regular season on Saturday, as they visit a Rice squad that remains undefeated in conference play and is receiving votes nationally at 1 p.m. inside Tudor Fieldhouse in Houston.

The Roadrunners (13-15, 8-9 American) will face the No. RV/RV Owls (27-3, 17-0) after previously falling to Rice, 65-55, earlier in the season. Sophomore Damara Allen scored 11 with six rebounds and three assists, while senior Ereauna Hardaway charted 10 points. Classmate Cheyenne Rowe flirted with a double-double to the tune of nine points and eight rebounds, with sophomore Mia Hammonds scoring six with seven boards.
Most recently, UTSA lost to Tulsa, 53-41, in a bout that saw Rowe finish one rebound shy of a double-double, as Hardaway scored 11 and junior Idara Udo six with nine rebounds.
Rice has yet to fall in league play, with its last loss coming by one point at the hands of UCF on Nov. 28, 2025. The Owls’ 22-game winning streak is tied with UCLA for the second-longest in the country, trailing only UConn, which has won 47 straight. They lead the NCAA in free throw percentage, converting shots from the charity stripe at a 81.6% clip, and they’re one of only eight teams with a winning percentage at or over 90%.
Hailey Adams has starred on the glass for Rice, with 10.8 rebounds per game, slotting her 14th nationally, and 8.2 on the defensive end, placing her 12th, and she’s recorded the 35th-most double-doubles in the country with 11. Dominique Ennis joins her on the national rankings, with 83 triples, slotting her 27th. Rounding out the Owls on the leaderboard, Victoria Flores maintains an 87.1 free-throw percentage for the 26th-best.
Ennis leads the team with 13.7 points per game, while Shelby Hayes manages 12.8, Flores, 12.2, and Aniah Alexis, 10.3. The offense flows through Adams, who boasts 103 assists on the season and also tops the team with 46 blocks. Additionally, Flores has swiped 55 steals across the campaign.
