SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's basketball team will be back in the Convocation Center on Saturday, with a 6:30 p.m. tipoff against South Florida. The contest will serve as the program’s annual Family Day, and while supplies last, fans can receive a clear UTSA belt bag upon entry.

The Roadrunners (12-11, 7-5 American) fell to the Bulls (15-10, 8-4 American) back in February, as sophomore Emilia Dannebauer logged a career-high 13 points in the effort on 5-for-6 shooting, while classmate Damara Allen worked her first collegiate double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Senior Ereauna Hardaway dished out eight assists, tying her personal best, and fellow senior Cheyenne Rowe scored eight points and collected 10 rebounds.
UTSA enters the contest following back-to-back wins over Tulsa and Temple. Rowe posted a game-high 26 points with 11 rebounds against the Owls, and junior Idara Udo snagged 11 boards and also swatted four shots across the contest. Sophomore Mia Hammonds added 10 points, and Hardaway logged six assists.
Similarly, South Florida is coming off consecutive victories against Tulane and Tulsa, and the Bulls sit fourth in the conference standings. They lead the league in assists/turnover ratio at 1.03 and in assists per game at 16.4. 27.8 defensive rebounds per game also top the American, and individually, Stefanie Ingram’s 144 assists are 14th in the NCAA. Brito also appears on the NCAA leaderboard with 7.1 defensive rebounds per game, ranking her 28th.
Edyn Battle leads the team with 14.3 points per game, while Katie Davidson averages 12.6 and L’or Mputu 10.0. Brito commands the glass with 8.9 rebounds per game, and Mputu is not far behind, snagging 8.1. Defensively, Ines Piper recorded 24 blocks, and Ingram swiped 35 steals.
