UTSA to visit South Florida for American Conference clash

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's basketball team is headed for Tampa, Florida, with a Tuesday night American Conference showdown with South Florida on the docket at 6 p.m. CT inside the Yuengling Center.

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Jim Louk (play-by-play) and Leah Secondo (analyst) on the call. The Roadrunners (8-6, 3-0 American) are fresh off a 69-63 victory over Charlotte that saw stellar performances by senior Ereauna Hardaway, classmate Cheyenne Rowe and sophomore Mia Hammonds. Hardaway led the ‘Runners with 19 points and seven assists, while Rowe scored 16 with two blocks. Hammonds poured in 17 points and logged six boards off the bench.

The Bulls (10-7, 3-1 American) offense exploded for 90 points in an 11-point win over Memphis on Saturday, and they’ve been The American’s top shooting team, shooting 43.6% from the field. USF also leads the conference with 27.6 defensive rebounds per game, while Stefanie Ingram’s 101 assists are 13th across the NCAA.

Four squad members boast scoring averages in double-digits, with Edyn Battle logging 15.2 points per game and Katie Davidson 11.6. Ingram manages 10.5, and L’or Mputu is not far behind at 10.0. Additionally, Mputu commands the glass to the tune of 8.4 rebounds per game.
