SAN ANTONIO —UTSA Athletics unveiled its final winners of its annual Rowdys awards during halftime of the home soccer match versus Lamar on Sunday at Park West Athletics Complex.
Voting for six of the annual awards was held over the summer once all athletics competition for the 2024-25 academic year was complete. Below are the winners of these awards:
Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year – Jordyn Jenkins, Women’s Basketball
Outstanding Male Athlete of the Year – Mason Lytle, Baseball
Women’s Newcomer of the Year – Nina De Leon Negron, Women’s Basketball
Men’s Newcomer of the Year – Drew Detlefsen, Baseball
Coach of the Year – Pat Hallmark, Baseball
Team of the Year – Baseball
On April 27, UTSA honored its student-athletes at the department’s annual awards ceremony, The Rowdys, which was held at Six Flags Fiesta Texas.
