Kessler nominated for Fall Allstate and NACDA Good Works Team

NORTHBROOK, Ill. – UTSA junior soccer player Jasmine Kessler has been named a nominee for the 2025 Fall Allstate NACDA Good Works Team for her positive community contributions, officials from Allstate and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) announced. Kessler is among 128 student-athlete nominees across all divisions and sports who go above and beyond in their commitment to community service, academic achievement and athletic performance.

Kessler has shown consistency in her commitment to service while leading all UTSA student-athletes in individual community service hours last year. One of her core efforts was weekly volunteering with Rowdy Readers, a literacy program at a local NISD elementary school. Kessler dedicated at least an hour a week throughout the academic year to read with and mentor multiple children at the school. Rowdy Readers is just one of many service initiatives she pursues in the San Antonio community. A double major in criminal justice and psychology with a minor in spanish, Kessler is a 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honoree and a two-time member of the American Conference All-Academic Team, using this opportunity to pass on her belief in the importance of literacy in child essential skills and confidence development.

On the field, Kessler has already carved her space in the UTSA record book, on track to be the career goals-against-average leader at 0.79. In 30 games at goalkeeper for the Roadrunners, Kessler is third in shutouts with 10 clean sheets, tied for third in wins (12) and is second in ties (6) and save percentage (.810). With 98 stops, she’s seventh on the career list for saves as well. Earning a spot on the American’s All-Freshman Team in 2023, Kessler holds UTSA freshman records for GAA (0.67), save percentage (.822) and was second in rookie shutouts (5) and goals allowed (8). She holds UTSA’s single-season overall GAA record (0.67) and has two entries apiece in the single-season top 5 for GAA, save percentage, shutouts and ties.

A distinguished selection committee of athletics directors, former athletes and industry leaders will choose the final 20-member team - 10 female and 10 male student-athletes -  set to be announced August 26. One student captain will also be named to represent the group. Click here to view the full list of nominees for the 2025-26 Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Fall).

Following an exhibition at defending SEC Champion Texas on Friday, Aug. 8, UTSA will kick off its historic 20th soccer season and eighth year under Derek Pittman 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, within the friendly confines of the Park West Athletics Complex.
