Stuedeman announces Mac Morgan as Pitching Coach

She’ll head to San Antonio after winning the 2025 NCAA Women’s College World Series with Texas

SAN ANTONIO – On Wednesday, head UTSA softball coach Vann Stuedeman officially announced the addition of 2025 NCAA Women’s College World Series Champion Mac Morgan to the coaching staff.

“Our team got better today,” said Stuedeman. “Mac brings experience to our team that few have achieved-she is a national champion.  She has lived and breathed every aspect of what it takes to be a champion. Mac is a no-nonsense, straight-to-the-point competitor, and I am excited for our bullpen and our team.

Morgan will handle pitching coaching duties for the Roadrunners, following an illustrious playing career that culminated in a national championship. The Creighton, Missouri native began her collegiate career at Arizona State, where she was named third-team All-Pac-12 and All-Freshman en route to a conference championship and an NCAA Super Regional berth. From there, she transferred to Texas, where she cracked the All-Big 12 Second Team and earned NFCA All-Central Region First Team honors as a sophomore. She went 16-1 as a junior with a 1.96 ERA and multiple no-hitters, guiding her toward a career ERA of 2.47 with 45 wins, six saves, and 160 strikeouts. Additionally, she excelled in the classroom, earning All-Academic Big 12 honors before graduating with a degree in Sports Management.
