Get to know UTSA baseball student-athlete James Taussig in this Q&A.
Q: Why did you choose UTSA?

Q: What do you like most about being a student-athlete at UTSA?
James Taussig: "I like the friendships I’ve made here and the support each team has for each other. The support from staff and people inside of RACE on a day-to-day basis is special and everyone feels involved."
Q: How did you first get involved with playing baseball?
James Taussig: "I started playing baseball when I was young with my dad we would always go to Central Park in New York and throw the ball around when he would get off work. Going to Yankees games with him made me really fall in love with the game."

James Taussig: "I am majoring in finance and real estate financial development and I hope to work in real estate investment."

James Taussig: "The most influential person in my life has been my dad. He has been to basically all of my baseball games since I started playing and has helped me get through all the ups and downs that come with life and playing baseball. He’s shown me what it’s like to be a good person who always does the right thing."
Q: Who is your sports role model?
James Taussig: "My sports role model is Brett Gardner. He was one of my favorite Yankees to watch growing up because of how hard he played and how good he was."
