SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA men’s tennis team (10-10) rolled over Prairie View A&M (2-24) in a pair of commanding victories on Friday at the UTSA Tennis Center – reaching 10 wins on the season for the fifth consecutive year by twice ousting the visiting Panthers in 4-0 sweeps.
Match One
The Roadrunners made quick work of the Panthers to start the day’s doubleheader in the morning at the UTSA Tennis Center. On court one, Oskar Grzegorzewski and Ben Chetewy Ungar downed Abdulraheem Isa and Xavier Peter-Gooding with a 6-2 margin, winning a nearly simultaneous finish with Miguel Alonso and Danijal Muminovic with Omari Dudley and Tafari Dudley in a court-three doubles clinch.
Grzegorzewski finished off Ethan Boswell on court two with a swift 6-0, 6-2 victory to open singles play, followed in short order by Alonso with a fourth-court besting of Devyn Gans, 6-0, 6-3. Muminovic secured the team victory with a match-clinching 6-3, 6-0 topping of Isa on the top flight.

The competition speed of the opening match paled in comparison to the second outing with the Panthers, as UTSA finished off the doubles point in just 29 minutes. Cantu and Grzegorzewski blanked the Dudley brothers on court three to a 6-0 start, while Alonso and Santiago Flyckt bested Boswell and Gans to send the Roadrunners up one point. In singles action, the Roadrunners delivered three straight-set shutouts to clinch the second match of the two-victory day, with 6-0, 6-0 triumphs going for Flyckt over Ryan Boone on five, 108th-ranked Tiago Torres over Peter-Gooding on one and Chetewy Ungar clinching over T. Dudley on four in a season-best one hour and 20 minutes.
