About the Roadrunners
The Roadrunners split last weekend’s non-conference action against American Athletic Conference foes, finishing out the two-match set with a 4-3 victory over 69th-ranked Rice on their home courts in Houston. UTSA enters the final weekend of the regular season at 8-10 in the first season under Sasha Gozun. The Roadrunners are gunning for their fifth consecutive 10-win season.

Leading throughout the season, senior Danijal Muminovic and rookie Oskar Grzegorzewski each have a team-high eight wins on the year. Joining them at the top, 108th-ranked senior Tiago Torres holds an 8-4 record on the top court. In doubles play, it’s Torres and classmate Miguel Alonso lead the squad with a 4-2 record. Torres is fresh off garnering American Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors for a 3-0 week across doubles and singles against Charlotte and Rice.

About the Prairie View A&M Panthers
The Panthers come into San Antonio at 2-22 on the season under head men’s and women’s coach Duane Williams. PVAMU has collected wins over fellow SWAC members Mississippi Valley State and Southern, suffering 18 losses by sweep and riding a six-match skid. English sophomore Abdulraheem Isa has a pair of wins for the Panthers, while Xavier Peter-Gooding, Eduardo Nunez del Prado Flores and Takuma Walker each have a singles win. In doubles action, Isa and Peter-Gooding lead the squad with a 3-5 record.

The Roadrunners are 13-0 in the series that dates back to 2005. The last meeting between these teams came in 2019 with another doubleheader at home, 7-0 and 6-1. UTSA holds an 8-0 record when playing the Panthers in San Antonio.
