Celebrating A Phenomenal Season

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA soccer team posted one of its most successful seasons during the 2022 season, highlighted by its first Conference USA Championship and second NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.

The Roadrunners ended the 2022 campaign with 12 wins, the second most wins in program history. UTSA tied its program record for most wins in conference play (four wins, tied with the 2019 season) and most points in C-USA play (15). The Roadrunners ended the regular season in sixth place in the Conference USA standings, its highest conference finish. Earning the No. 6 seed in the C-USA Tournament, the Roadrunners battled their way to the top, taking down No. 3 seed UAB, No. 2 seed North Texas and No. 5 seed FAU to win their first C-USA Championship and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. UTSA earned its second ever NCAA Tournament appearance and first appearance in 12 years (2010).

UTSA and the City of San Antonio will hold a Rowdy River Rally tonight at the Arneson River Theatre to celebrate the Conference USA Champions soccer and football teams. The festivities are scheduled to begin at approximately 6:30 p.m. The public is encouraged to line the River Walk and cheer on the soccer and football teams as they float the route from the International Center clockwise around to Arneson River Theatre, where a rally will be held at 7 p.m.
