SAN ANTONIO – Four Roadrunners from the UTSA Soccer program – Isa Hernandez, Jil Schneider, Anna Sutter and Alissa Stewart – collected Academic All-District Team honors, announced by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA).
This marks the first time that the Roadrunners land spots on the Academic All-District Team in 13 years (Chelsea Zimmerman, 2009). Hernandez, Schneider, Sutter and Stewart earn this great accomplishment for the first time in their careers.
A native of Kyle, Texas, Hernandez is currently pursuing a PhD in Chemistry after completing her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Currently in her sixth year, she has earned the Conference USA Academic Honor Roll all five years so far. Hernandez also earned the C-USA Commisioner's Academic Medal for three of those years. She was named to the UTSA President's List four semesters and Dean's List three semesters.
Schneider is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Business Administration in Management. The Remetschwil, Switzerland, native was named to the C-USA All-Academic Second Team this season prior to winning this award. She is a three-time C-USA Commissioner's Academic Medal and Academic Honor Roll member. Schneider has earned a spot on the UTSA President's List for six semesters and Dean's List one semester.
Stewart is pursuing her Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics. The Burlington, Ontario, native earned C-USA All-Academic First Team this season, the first Roadrunner to earn first team honors. In her first season last year (2021-22), she earned Second Team All-Academic, Commissioner's Academic Medal and Academic Honor Roll. Stewart has been named UTSA President's List all three semesters so far.
Sutter is pursuing her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering. The Herisau AR, Switzerland, native was named to the C-USA All-Academic Second Team this season. As a freshman last season, she earned Commissioner's Academic Medal and Academic Honor Roll honors. Sutter has also been named to the UTSA Dean's List and Honor Roll one semester each.
