SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA baseball program has wrapped up its fall season, as it completed the Fall World Series before the Thanksgiving holiday. The Roadrunners received good production from new faces as well as returning players within the program. Newcomer Kody Darcy was named the MVP of the Fall World Series as he went 6-12 with a double, belted a homerun, had three runs scored, earned four RBIs and drew three walks over three games played.
The Roadrunners also received several solid performances on the mound. Braylon Owens set the tone in game one, as he pitched four innings, not allowing a hit or run, with three punch-outs. Grant Miller had five strikeouts in his 4.1 innings of work, only giving up three hits and a walk. Simon Miller also had a solid performance, as he only allowed one walk in 4.2 innings pitched, striking out 3.
The Roadrunners will kick off their season this spring, as they open against Tarleton State on February 18.
