2024 (Junior)
Owens made an appearance in 20 games, making four starts … threw a total of 52.1 innings, allowing 50 hits while striking out 53 batters … held opponents to a .251 batting average … had the third most wins on the team with four on the season … threw a season-high six strikeouts against Abilene Christian on March 12 … pitched for a season-long 6.1 innings against Wichita State on May 4.
2023 (Sophomore)
Appeared in six games with two starts… recorded seven strikeouts in 8.2 innings pitched… best outing came against Western Kentucky on April 2, pitching two scoreless innings with three strikeouts.
2022 (Freshman)
Was the first Sunday pitcher of the season but transitioned to a middle-inning reliever … he posted a 3-2 record across 16 appearances with two starts … owned a 5.40 ERA across 30 innings pitched where he allowed 19 runs on 33 hits with 24 walks and 36 strikeouts … really settled into his role in mid-March, earning his first career win against Louisiana Tech (3/20), tossing 1.2 scoreless relief innings … kept progressing as the season went on and turned in his best performance against UAB (5/20) … against the Blazers, he went for a career-best 4.1 innings and struck out a career-high five batters … was the starting pitcher in UTSA’s first round C-USA tournament game against FAU (5/25) … pitched in crunch time against Louisiana Tech in the C-USA title game.
