Softball opens 2020 season in Louisiana

SAN ANTONIO - The UTSA softball team opens up the 2020 season in Louisiana on Friday. The Roadrunners will compete in the 34th Annual Louisiana Classics Feb. 7-8 and play one game in the Cowgirl Classic, hosted by McNeese, on Sunday.
 
UTSA will face Ball State, host No. 10 Louisiana and Arkansas-Pine Bluff in Lafayette. The Roadrunners take on Prairie View A&M in Lake Charles.
 
UTSA finished the 2019 season 21-31 overall and 8-16 in C-USA action. Redshirt-junior, Madison Washington earned NFCA all-south region third team honor and was named All-Conference USA second team, while leading the team with a .326 batting average and recorded eight home runs.

Coach Wallace faces alma mater
Pitching coach Jordan Wallace returns to her alma mater, but this time on the other side. The 2015 graduate will coach against the school she played for from 2011-15.
