Doubles sweep highlights win over Laredo on Friday

SAN ANTONIO -- Juri Reckow won his eighth straight singles match to help lead UTSA men's tennis to a 5-2 win over Laredo Community College, on Friday afternoon at the UTSA Tennis Center. 
 
UTSA (4-4) won its second consecutive match with a 5-2 result over Laredo. The Roadrunners picked up a doubles sweep to start the match before claiming four of six singles points. 
 
Reckow (Hamburg, Germany) improved to 8-0 to start his 2020 season, claiming a 6-2, 6-1 win on court two. Freshman Sebastian Rodriguez (Trujillo, Peru) improved to 6-2 in singles with a 6-0, 6-0 win. 
 
Javier Gonzalez (San Fernando, Chile) won 6-4, 6-2 on court four and sophomore Alan Sanson (Santiago, Chile) won 6-1, 6-2 on court six. 
 
In doubles, freshmen Joao Alcantra (Santos, Brazil) and Sebastian Rodriguez won their sixth of seven tests in 2020, 6-2. Reckow and Gonzalez won 6-1, and Patrick Poestinger (Ennsdorf, Austria) and Joao Ceolin (Palotina, Brazil) won 7-6. 
 
UTSA returns to action on Sunday at Texas Tech at 5 p.m. in Lubbock, Texas.
