Men's Tennis hosts UIW Tuesday in home finale

SAN ANTONIO -- The UTSA men's tennis team will wrap up its regular-season schedule on Tuesday with a home matchup vs. UIW, starting at 2 p.m. at the UTSA Tennis Center. 

UTSA (13-9) fell in its road finale on Saturday at 20-win Abilene Christian, 4-3. The matchup with UIW wil wrap up the regular-season before UTSA travels to participate in the Conference USA Championships, April 19-21 at Middle Tennessee in Murfreesboro, Tenn. 

The Roadrunners have totaled a 65-46 mark in singles and a 31-25 record in doubles play in 2019. Junior Javier Rodriguez (Trujillo, Peru) leads the team with 15 singles wins, including a 10-3 record in the No. 3 spot. Juri Reckow (Hamburg, Germany) has a 13-6 record, with freshman Alan Sanson (Santiago, Chile) posting a 10-6 mark. Kai Breitbach (Kaarst, Germany) has gone 7-12 at the top of the lineup. Joao Ceolin (Palotina, Brazil) is 8-8 in singles, with Javier Gonzalez (San Fernado, Chile) posting an 8-6 mark and Patrick Poestinger (Ennsdorf, Austria) owning a 4-3 record. 

In doubles, Ceolin and Reckow own a team-leading 10-7 record, with Brietbach and Sanson posting a 6-8 mark and Poestinger and Rodriguez sportign a 6-4 stretch.
