SAN ANTONIO -- UTSA men's basketball coach Steve Henson and women's basketball coach Kristen Holt will travel to Frisco to take part in the 2019 C-USA Basketball Tipoff, presented by Baylor Scott & White Sports Performance Center at the Star on Monday.
The event will start at 9 a.m. and the Roadrunners will begin at 12:45 p.m. at the Ford Center at the Star, which is the annual site for the Conference USA Championships, which are next slated for March 11-14, 2020.
A live ESPN3 show will air from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., with UTSA on just after 1:30 p.m. Representatives from local and national print and multimedia, in addition to C-USA's television partners, will be in attendance to meet with the league coaches.

UTSA's men returns three starters from a 17-win season in 2018-19, including the nation's highest scoring backcourt in juniors Jhivvan Jackson and Keaton Wallace. Jackson, tabbed the preseason Conference USA player of the year by Blue Ribbon Yearbook, and Wallace combined to score 43.1 points per game a year ago, with Jackson claiming the C-USA scoring crown with 22.9 points per outing. In addition to the scoring punch of the guard duo, UTSA returns senior forward Byron Frohnen, who has made 100 consecutive starts to open his career.
UTSA's men will open the season on Oct. 30 vs. Texas A&M International in an exhibition game, before tipping off the 2019-20 season officially at Oklahoma on Nov. 5.
UTSA's women returns six players, including Mandi Cooks, Deja Cousin, Karrington Donald, Tija Hawkins, Evelyn Omemmah and Timea Toth. The Roadrunners welcomed eight new faces to the team, including six true-freshmen, Elena Blanding, Karley Larson, Charlene Mass, Shannan Mitchell, Adryana Quedada and Mikayla Woods and two transfers, Grace Daniels and Kiara Shoals.
The women's season-opener is set for Nov. 6 when UTSA hosts Concordia Texas at 7 p.m. at the Convocation Center.
