Freshman Harrison Wade earns strong finish at Lakefront Invitational

CHICAGO -- Freshman Harrison Wade earned a 35th-place finish to lead the UTSA men's cross country team in the 42nd annual Lakefront Invitational, hosted by Loyola at Chicago's Montrose Harbor on Saturday afternoon. 
 
A freshman out of Sydney, Australia, Wade led all Roadrunners in the third meet of the year. He clocked a 25:55.95 for 8K to finish 35th and lead the Roadrunners to 14th in the team standings. Wisconsin, ranked No. 10 nationally, finished second overall to team champion McMaster. 
 
Junior Dominic Cavazos (Mercedes, Texas) finished 76th after clocking a 26:32.18, with freshman Elliot Moran (Exeter, England) placing 83rd in 26:41.80 and senior Martin Luevano (Boerne, Texas) earning an 88th-place finish with a time of 26:53.29. 
 
Matthew David, a junior out of Lahoma, Okla., finished 116th (27:55.27), with Josh Rodriguez (Boerne, Texas) placing 118th (28:02.25) and Zack Kovar (Austin, Texas) in 121st (28:24.09) to complete UTSA's seven-runner lineup. 
 
The Roadrunners will return to action on Oct. 19 at the Arturo Barrios Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M in College Station.
