SAN ANTONIO – Behind singles wins from Kai Breitbach (Kaarst, Germany), Juri Reckow (Hamburg, Germany) and Javier Gonzalez (San Fernando, Chile), the UTSA men's tennis team picked up a 4-0 win over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, on Wednesday afternoon at the UTSA Tennis Center.
UTSA (11-5) swept past Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (13-7) for a sweep in the two meetings between the teams in 2019. UTSA posted a 4-2 win at TAMU-CC on Feb. 27.
In addition to the three singles points, UTSA posted the doubles point behind wins from Breitbach and Alan Sanson (Santiago, Chile), and Patrick Poestinger (Ennsdorf, Austria) and Javier Rodriguez (Trujillo, Peru). Reckow posted his 10th win in 2019 in singles.
The Roadrunners will return to action with a pair of matches over the weekend, traveling to face Wichita State at 1 p.m. on Saturday and Tulsa at 2 p.m. on Sunday. UTSA is back at home for a pair of matches next Friday and Saturday, hosting Southern Miss (April 5) and UAB (April 6).
