SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA men's tennis team will return home after a three-match road swing, hosting Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Wednesday, March 27 at 2 p.m. at the UTSA Tennis Center.
UTSA (10-5) has been on the road for three consecutive matches, with the trio snapping a four-match winning streak. UTSA has played 12 of its 15 matches away from the UTSA Tennis Center, with only home wins over Prairie View A&M and UTRGV in the friendly confines.
The Roadrunners have totaled a 50-28 mark in singles play in 2019 and a 24-14 record in doubles.
Juniors Joao Ceolin (Palotina, Brazil) and Juri Reckow (Hamburg, Germany) have totaled a 10-3 record in doubles in the lead role. Kai Brietbach (Kaarst, Germany) and Alan Sanson (Santiago, Chile) have posted a 5-6 record in doubles. Javier Rodriguez (Trujillo, Peru) and Javier Gonzalez have posted a 2-3 record, with Rodriguez owning a 2-0 mark with Leon Hein (Hamburg, Germany) and a 5-2 record with Patrick Poestinger (Ennsdorf, Austria).
Rodriguez leads the way with a 13-2 record in singles, with Sanson going 8-3 and Ceolin charting a 7-4 mark. Brietbach and Poestinger each have four wins, with Gonzalez going 5-5. Rekow has earned a 9-4 record in singles.
