WACO, Texas – UTSA men's tennis juniors Kai Brietbach (Kaarst, Germany), Jao Ceolin (Palotina, Brazila), Patrick Poestinger (Ennsdorf, Austria) and Juri Reckow (Hamburg, Germany) each earned a win in singles play during the ITA Texas Regional Championships, hosted by Baylor at the Hurd Tennis Center and the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center.
Poestinger highlighted UTSA's stay in the ITA Texas Regionals, going 2-1 with a pair of wins to open the event before falling vs. Baylor's Sven Lah.
Brietbach went 1-2 during the tournament, with a win over Lamar's Sebastian Santinbanez. Reckow bounced back from a loss in the first round to earn a win over Lamar's Arthur Serafim.
In doubles, UTSA went 1-2 with Brietbach and Poestinger falling vs. Abilene Christian's duo of Riley Tran/Akinora Wada. Reckow and Ceolin teamed up to go 1-1 with a win over Rice's Karol Paluch and Adam Oscislawski.
The Roadrunners wrap up the fall season with the Longhorn Invitational Tournament, hosted by Texas in Austin, Nov. 2-4.
