Roadrunners split two matches on Friday

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA men's tennis team split a pair of matches on Friday at the McFarlin Tennis Center. The Roadrunners dropped a 4-0 decision to Southern Miss but rebounded in the nightcap to edge UAB, 4-3.

In the nightcap, it all came down to the fifth singles spot, as Patrick Poestinger clinched the match with a 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 victory over Nikolai Manchev.

Juri Reckow, Javier Gonzalez and Joao Ceolin also won their singles tilts to help UTSA (11-10) pick up the win.

The Roadrunners will conclude the weekend against Rice on Saturday. First serve is at 11 a.m. at the McFarlin Tennis Center.
