Boskovic, Waldrip garner honorable mention All-America accolades from AVCA on Wednesday

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Dajana Boskovic and Jessica Waldrip both were tabbed honorable mention All-Americans, the American Volleyball Coaches Assoiation announced on Wednesday.

The duo led the Roadrunners to the program’s fifth consecutive 20-win season, as the team finished 20-9 en route to its second consecutive Conference USA Regular Season Championship.

Both were named first-team all-league selections, while Waldrip was tabbed the circuit’s Setter of the Year. They were honored by the AVCA on its all-region team.

Boskovic paced the Roadrunners with 4.64 kills per set (413), which ranks 13th in the NCAA. The 6-foot-1 outside hitter also tallied 215 digs to go along with 71 blocks and averaged 5.22 points per set (464.5). She finished her second campaign with the Roadrunners with double-figure kills in 24 matches, including nine of 20 or more.

Meanwhile, Waldrip averaged 10.94 assists per set (1,160) and earned C-USA Setter of the Week laurels on three occasions. She moved into seventh place on UTSA's all-time record books with 1,939 assists. On the season, she registered 16 matches of 40-plus helpers, including six of 50 or more. The New Braunfels native twice matched a career high 59 assists and notched a team-leading 11 double-doubles.
