Boskovic, Waldrip tabbed Conference USA Players of the Week on Monday

IRVING — Following two weekend victories that extended UTSA's winning streak to 10 matches, Dajana Boskovic and Jessica Waldrip were named Conference USA Offensive Player and Setter of the Week, respectively, the league office announced on Monday.

The duo helped keep UTSA (13-7, 9-0 C-USA) perfect in C-USA action and the Roadrunners now have won 17 consecutive conference matches dating back to last season, which is the second-longest streak in league history.

Boskovic led the way in Sunday's five-set thriller against Rice, as she matched a career high with 22 kills on 48 attacks. The sophomore outside hitter also posted three aces in the victory to set a career best and now hit .300 or better in four consecutive matches. She added 11 digs against the Owls for her fifth double-double of the season.

Meanwhile, Waldrip tallied 100 assists in the Roadrunners' two wins, averaging 11.11 assists per set. The New Braunfels native registered 51 helpers in Friday's four-set triumph against then-league co-leader Western Kentucky and followed that performance with 49 against Rice. Waldrip, a three-time Setter of the Week honoree, now has 11 matches of 40 or more assists this fall.

UTSA will return to action on Friday night at Marshall (10-13, 4-4 C-USA).
