IRVING — After handing out 137 assists in three victories last week, Conference USA named Jessica Waldrip its Setter of the Week for the second consecutive Monday.
Waldrip averaged 13.7 assists in three conference matches last week, including a career-best 59 on Friday against Florida Atlantic, which was her fifth straight outing with at least 40. In Monday's conference opener at UTEP, she helped lead the Roadrunners to a .381 attack percentage with 41 helpers and the New Braunfels native finished the week with her sixth double-double of the season (37 assists/14 digs) in Sunday's sweep of North Texas.
UTSA (7-7, 3-0 C-USA) will return to action on Friday when it travels to Middle Tennessee (5-10, 1-1 C-USA) for a 7 p.m. contest.
