SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA men's golf team will compete in the fifth annual Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational beginning on Monday. The two-day tournament will be played at Colorado National Golf Club (par 72/7,771 yards) in Erie, Colo.
The Roadrunners will face teams from Air Force, Cal State Fullerton, Colorado, Denver, Houston Baptist, Loyola-Marymount, McNeese State, Missouri State, Nebraska, Northern Colorado, San Diego, Seattle, Towson, UMKC, Utah State, Utah Valley and Wyoming in the two-day, 54-hole event.
UTSA is coming off an eighth-place finish at the season-opening Sam H. Hall Intercollegiate in Hattiesburg, Miss. Zander Lozano, a freshman from Boerne, finished 20th with a 71-73-70—214 in his collegiate debut, while J.J. Lindsey, a junior from Adkins, tied for 28th with a 71-76-68—215.
