After playing two scoreless overtimes on Friday night, Trommer pushed UTSA to its second win in an extra session this season when she controlled feeds from Happy Orere-Amadu and Munson and picked up her second goal of the season for the 3-2 victory.
Texas State jumped out to a first-half lead on an own goal in the 33rd minute when a shot deflected off a UTSA defender and past Tesno.
The score remained in the Bobcats’ favor until the 54th minute, when Munson aided freshman Lizette Niño’s first collegiate goal. The McAllen native’s shot in the right corner of the goal made it 1-1 and the Roadrunners would not trail the rest of the way.
UTSA will be back in action at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, when it will host Baylor (5-3) at Park West Athletics Complex.
