Price leaves UTSA for Arkansas

SAN ANTONIO ? UTSA second-year assistant coach Carol Price was named to Robert Pulliza's staff at Arkansas on Wednesday.

A Fenton, Mich., native, Price helped lead the Roadrunners to 32 victories in her two seasons in the Alamo City. Six players earned All-Southland Conference honors,

including 2006 first-team pick Connie Picard and '07 first-teamer Victoria

Prior. Additionally, five student-athletes garnered SLC All-Academicaccolades, four of which were first-team selections (MeaganDaniel, Erin McMillan, Picard and DeeDee Strickland in 2006).

“I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked for such a great institution,’” Price said. “I learned a lot from Laura (Groff) and Howard (Wallace) and definitely will take the knowledge and experience I gained the last two years with me to Arkansas.”

A national search is underway for Price's replacement.
