SAN ANTONIO - UTSA women’s golf coach Holly Tothe has announced Monday the signing of Lesan Gouge to National Letter of Intent for the 2006-07 season.
“Lesan is going to make a great addition to our team next year given her collegiate competition experience as well as her passion for the game of golf.” Tothe said. “Lesan will bring additional leadership to the program and help to round out the dynamics of our program giving us one more upper classman.”
Gouge, a transfer from St. Mary’s, was 2005 All-Heartland Conference selection and 2006 second-teamer. A year ago, she finished in ninth place (81-82=163), at the Heartland Conference Golf Tournament at the Sunset Hills Golf Course in Guymon, Okla. Gouge will be a junior this fall.
