In the second game, junior Jessica Els broke up a no-hit bid by Brandi Crnkovic with a double in the top of the sixth and junior Aimee Murray followed with a two-run home run to right in a 3-1 decision. In the Sunday finale, Murray’s RBI-double in the top of the third proved to be the difference in a 2-1 win. Junior right-hander Ursula Mares had two victories and a save in the series sweep.
