Theo Belhomme joined UTSA’s Sports Medicine Staff in June 2019 and works primarily with the football program as a Resident Athletic Trainer.
Belhomme is a native of Kissimmee, Fla., and graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran College in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise Science and a minor in Coaching. During his undergraduate studies, Belhomme interned at Performance Enhancement in Milwaukee, Wis. He was also a four-year athlete for the Warriors’ football program.
After graduation, he went on to Texas Tech University Health Science Center to complete a Master of Athletic Training in 2019. With the Red Raiders, Belhomme provided athletic training coverage to the football and men’s basketball programs. In 2019, he saw the men’s basketball program win the Big 12 Conference Championship.
In the summer of 2018, Belhomme completed an internship with the Dallas Cowboys.
Belhomme has also worked as a volunteer athletic trainer covering the IRONMAN 70.3 Buffalo Springs Lake Triathlon.
He has also presented at the Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association Student Convention.
In his free time, Belhomme likes to create new handyman tasks to do, draw and be outdoors, hiking and biking and says his favorite superhero is Batman.
