Stefanie Cisneros is in her second year as UTSA’s Assistant Athletics Director/Life Skills Coordinator, 11th year working with student-athletes on their personal and professional development and her 17th year working at UTSA overall.

Cisneros is responsible for coordinating programming focused on student-athlete development including teaching a freshmen year life skills seminar class.  Additionally, she serves as sport administrator for women’s soccer, softball and cheer.

Cisneros has had the opportunity to speak to national audiences through presentations at the American Humanics Management Institute, California Association for Counseling and Development Conference, Southern Association of Colleges and Employers Conference, and as a co-presenter at the National Career Development Association’s Global Conference. In her presentation, “Transfer the Magic from Playing Field to Career Field”, she addresses the career development needs of student-athletes and best practices for working effectively with student-athlete populations and athletic departments.

Cisneros is currently involved in several professional organizations, including memberships in Women Leaders in College Sports (formerly the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators, NACWAA) and National Association for Colleges and Employers (NACE). She has previously been active as a member of the National Career Development Association (NCDA) and Southern Association of Colleges and Employers (SoACE).

Cisneros graduated from UTSA in 2001 with a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology and completed a master of arts degree in community counseling from UTSA in 2008.

She and her husband Robert have two children, Alexandra and David..
