Rachel Stroman is in her first year as the marketing associate for UTSA athletics.
She joins the Roadrunners athletics department after spending time working as senior program coordinator in the College of Engineering at UTSA after previous experience in athletics at Houston Baptist, Rice and the Houston Rockets.
Stroman is a veteran athletics administrator, serving as the director of football operations and on-campus recruiting at Houston Baptist for the 2018-20 seasons, after serving as the assistant director of NCAA compliance and eligibility at HBU from 2015-18.
She also served as the athletics marketing assistant at Rice from 2014-15 and as a marketing associate with the Houston Rockets from 2013-14. During her time at Rice, she worked directly with the highly successful women’s basketball and volleyball programs for the Owls, in addition to assisting with football, men’s basketball and baseball.
Among her duties with the Rockets, Stroman served as the marketing associate lead for the Rockets Power Dancers and Entertainer auditions.
A Houston native, Stroman earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology, with a minor in sociology, from the University of Houston and her master’s of science in kinesiology: sports management from Houston Baptist.
