Patrick Grant has overseen the UTSA Athletics Department’s facilities operations since November 2007. He was promoted to associate athletics director for facilities & operations in July 2016.
He is responsible for the day-to-day operations and maintenance of all on-campus athletics venues. In addition, he serves as the department liaison to UTSA Campus Planning & Facilities.
Grant is also responsible for assisting with the implementation of athletics building projects, as well as managing athletics vendor contracts.
Prior to his time at UTSA, Grant served as an assistant groundskeeper at Texas State and Athletic Field Specialist for SMG Worldwide Entertainment & Convention Venue Management (NRG Stadium) in Houston.
Grant earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology with an emphasis in sports management from Texas A&M in 2005.
He married the former Kelly Cato, who played softball at UTSA, in June 2014.
