Meenakshi Sundaram is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Roadrunners men’s tennis program. Sundaram brings extensive coaching and playing experience to the Alamo City.
A native of India, he has owned and directed his own tennis academy since 1992. Sundaram has traveled throughout the world to events such as the ITF Juniors, WTA and ATP tournaments and many of his pupils have gone on to play at the Division I and II levels.
He was the top-ranked junior in his native country from 1980-83. Sundaram was a member of the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch from 1983-86 and played collegiately at McClennan Community College for two years before transferring to Texas State in 1989.
Sundaram and his wife, Kelly, have two children (Joshua and Kelsey) and reside in New Braunfels.
