Mathilde Coquillaud-Salomon joined UTSA’s Sports Medicine Staff in July 2025 as part of the UTHealth San Antonio Rehabilitation Residency program. She will be working primarily with the cross country and track & field teams.

Coquillaud-Salomon is originally from Nantes, France, and graduated from Stephen F. Austin in 2022 with her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. She then continued her education at Texas State University and earned her Master of Science in Athletic Training in May 2025 when she was named the 2023 Texas State Athletic Training Star of Excellence and the 2025 Outstanding Achievement and Meritus Service as a Graduate Student. While at Texas State, she covered Football, Baseball, Soccer and Men’s Basketball. In the Spring 2024, she completed an internship with the University of Texas Track & Field team culminating in the 2024 Men’s and Women’s Big 12 Conference Champions before moving on to an internship with the Pittsburgh Pirates Florida Complex League Team in the Summer of 2024. She has also gained experience being the Student Lead for the 2024 Track and Field UIL State Meet and the Co-Student Lead at the 2024 Texas Relays Meets.

In her free time, she likes to run, crochet and read. Coquillaud-Salomon says her favorite superhero is the Hulk.
