Former Arkansas outside hitter and current Pro Volleyball Federation (PVF) Champion Maggie Cartwright joined the UTSA Volleyball coaching staff in August of 2024, after spending five stellar seasons playing at Arkansas.
With the Razorbacks, she received American Volleyball Coaches Association All-Region and NCAA All-Tournament status while recording 1,276 total kills, the 12th-most in program history. As a six-rotation player, she posted 909 digs, 303 blocks, and 108 aces, and in 2023, she helped Arkansas reach its first Elite Eight in school history. The Kimberly, Wisconsin native received a Bachelor of Science from Arkansas in 2023, a degree she received as a five-time captain for the Razorbacks.
She was drafted 22nd overall by the Omaha Supernovas in the inaugural PVF draft, seeing action in eight sets with 15 kills before claiming the league's first-ever title via a sweep over Grand Rapids Rise.
Cartwright also has extensive club coaching experience, spending five years with the Northwest Arkansas Junior Storm Volleyball Club and giving personalized 1-on-1 lessons in her spare time.
