Kelley Nittoli recently completed her first season as an assistant coach for the UTSA women's golf team.
In her first season with the Roadrunners, she helped guide the team to a conference championship, three additional top-five finishes and the program's fourth NCAA postseason appearance. UTSA captured the 2018 Conference USA team title with an 874 to finish 13 strokes ahead of runner-up UTEP behind a 1-2 finish from Julie Houston and Ana Gonzalez. The Roadrunners advanced to the NCAA Austin Regional, where they posted the best NCAA finish (12th) and scorecard (892) in program history. Houston collected first-team all-conference honors and Gonzalez was named C-USA Freshman of the Year and second-team all-conference.
Nittoli played professionally on the LPGA Tour, LPGA Futures Tour, Ladies European Tour and the Ladies Asian Golf Tour under her maiden name, Kelley Markette. She has experience as a teaching professional in the Metropolitan Section PGA and as an assistant golf professional at Houston Country Club.
After a break from golf to raise her children, Nittoli returned to competitive golf as an amateur in the 2012 USGA Women's Mid-Amateur at Briggs Ranch, where she advanced to the round of 16. A representative of the South Team at the Women's Texas Cup for five consecutive years, she won the Greater San Antonio Senior Women's Championship in 2014 and 2016. She was the San Antonio Senior Women's Player of the Year and Women's Southern Golf Association Senior Champion in 2014.
Nittoli played collegiately at Houston Baptist, where she received degrees in accounting and finance.
She is married to Jim Nittoli, the Director of Golf at San Antonio Country Club. They have one son, James, who plays baseball at Trinity University in San Antonio, and a daughter, Julia, who plays on the golf team at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn.
