In her new role, Douglass will lead and coordinate responsibilities for the external affairs staff, oversee the department’s community relations program, develop relationships with public officials and business leaders and direct the coordination of faculty/staff, political and alumni relations for the department. “We are elated to welcome Katie Douglass to the Roadrunner family,” Campos said. “Katie’s candidacy rose to top because of her expansive experience in working with a wide variety of constituents, her political acumen and her experience as a vice president of operations for a multimillion-dollar corporation.”

“I’m extremely excited about the opportunity to join UTSA, a rising star in the world of collegiate athletics,” Douglass said. “Lisa Campos is a dynamic leader with an inspiring vision for the future of Roadrunner athletics. I’m very grateful to Lisa and the search committee for the chance to join the Roadrunner family and return to my hometown community."
