Justin Volentine was hired in June 2013 as assistant equipment manager at UTSA. He is responsible for preparing game helmets and uniforms, supervising student managers and assisting the equipment manager with day-to-day duties.
The Waxahachie, Texas, native came to UTSA from the Utah Jazz of the NBA, where he was an intern equipment manager during the 2012-13 season.
Volentine began his career in equipment at his alma mater, Texas A&M. He was a student manager for the Aggies’ football program from 2009-11 and an intern in 2012.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in sport management with a minor in business administration from Texas A&M in 2012.
