Joining UTSA Athletics in January of 2022, Jack Cuchran brings invaluable experience with him to the Roadrunners. As Director of Development for Special Projects, he has made an immediate impact by taking over multiple projects and blowing away all expectations. His first project consisted of selling out all 52 suites for UTSA football games, generating $630,000 in suite revenue for the 2022 football season. In addition to this, he has also taken the role of interim director of ticket sales, where he and his team have set records and seen great increases in sales revenues in the sports of football, volleyball and both men’s and women’s basketball.

Far from a stranger to the Alamo City, Cuchran has 30 years of experience with San Antonio Sports. Most recently, he worked in business development for the Valero Alamo Bowl from 2019 until 2022. In his first year with the Alamo Bowl, he generated over $100,000 in less then three months. By cultivating deep relationships in the business community, Cuchran was able to grow the corporate database from 200 companies in 2019, to over 800 in 2021. Cuchran’s experience proved vital during the 2019 pandemic, where he was able to overcome obstacles and still generate more than $94,000 in memberships, suites and ticket sales for the 2020 Alamo Bowl.

Perhaps most impressive is his long and extremely successful tenure with Spurs Sports and Entertainment, which he joined in 1993 as a regional marketing manager, before becoming the season and group sales ticket manager. He earned a reputation of being a leading marketing and sales expert for the Spurs, Silver Stars and Rampage. Cuchran ranked within the top 3 of the entire NBA in group ticket revenue for 20 years, including generating over $2.25 million during a shortened season of only 45 games. By retaining and growing his client base, he was able to average over $1 million over a span of 10 years in Spurs partial plan sales. Cuchran’s dedication to excellence was integral for the Spurs growth from a relatively new franchise, to one of the most established and successful teams in North America.

Cuchran graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwestern with a Bachelor’s of Science in Economics and Organizational Behavior. He went on to get his Master’s from the University of Texas in Sports Business Administration.
