Evan Case is in his second season with the UTSA volleyball program as the Roadrunners' volunteer assistant. Case is responsible for statistics throughout matches and other day-to-day duties.
Case came to the Alamo City from the University of Central Oklahoma after spending two seasons as the Bronchos graduate assistant. In his time in Edmond, his responsibilities ranged from video exchange, using Gametape Exchange, to creating and implanting practice plans, to overseeing study hall hours.
In his two seasons, the Bronchos combined for a 59-10 overall record and checked in at No. 12 in the final AVCA Division II Poll in 2015. UCO earned its fifth postseason berth to the NCAA DII Central Regional after capturing the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletic Association regular season title, the first since joining the league and first since the 1994 campaign, and were bounced out by seven-time national champion Concordia-St. Paul in the second round.
While in Edmond, Case was also the head coach for the Oklahoma Peak Performance club volleyball team and oversaw all aspects of the club. The Texas native has also spent parts of his summer, since 2010, helping out in summer volleyball camps for the University of Texas, Angelo State, Texas State, Central Oklahoma, as well as various high school camps.
Prior to his stint at Central Oklahoma, Case began his volleyball coaching career as an undergraduate at Angelo State where he began working with the team in the spring of 2011. He worked with the team for three complete seasons. In those three seasons, the Rams went 85-22 and made an appearance at the NCAA Tournament each of those campaigns. In 2012, Angelo State won the Lone Star Conference regular season crown, first since 1992, and reached the regional finals for the first time in school history.
Case attended Angelo State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in history. He also spent one semester at East Texas Baptist University before transferring to Angelo State.
