Darren D’Attilio serves as UTSA's Assistant Vice President for Revenue Generation and Special Projects. In addition to this role, he previously also oversaw External Affairs from 2020 to 2023.
Working in direct partnership with the Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Vice President for External Relations, D’Attilio will lead collaborative efforts with university and external partners to develop new revenue streams while overseeing athletics’ revenue-generating contracts. He also will manage all major capital projects and oversee all special projects.
D’Attilio has more than 20 years of development and external relations experience in intercollegiate athletics. His areas of expertise include facilitating external growth through revenue generation, facility enhancements and strategic partnerships.
D’Attilio previously worked in athletics fundraising and external relations at The University of Texas at El Paso and California State University, Bakersfield. He most recently worked at Northern Arizona University (NAU), as the Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations and Development where he successfully led development and marketing efforts to increase overall revenue through numerous multi-million dollar gifts, sponsorships, and partnerships.
D’Attilio is a first generation college graduate and former student-athlete of College of Saint Rose where he earned his bachelor of arts in math & physical science with a minor in business administration.
