Clinton Thomas joined UTSA athletics in July 2018 as the head of athletics equipment operations.

Prior to his arrival at UTSA, Thomas spent eight years at the University of the Incarnate Word. Thomas oversaw all aspects of UIW's football equipment operations, including the designing of uniforms. In 2014, Thomas' stars and stripes helmet design was named the best-looking stars and stripes helmet by www.footballscoop.com. 

The Rockville, Md. and Edwardsville, Ill. native served with the US Army from 1999-05, conducting aviation support for infantry units. He served at Ft. Rucker, Ala., Ansbach, Germany and did combat tours in both Kosovo and Kuwait/Iraq. In 2009-10, Thomas worked in game operations for the San Antonio Spurs and the San Antonio Rampage hockey team. From 2011-2016, he moved to box office and ticket sales with the San Antonio Missions baseball club.

Thomas earned an Associate’s degree from San Antonio College in 2009 and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management from UIW in 2012. He completed a Master's degree in Sports Management in 2015.
